COMMERCIAL FITOUT

Phenomix Laboratories, Australian National University

Phenomix Corporation are Australia’s largest bio-technology start-up, and a global leader in mouse phenomics – a highly valued branch of bio-technology used by pharmaceutical companies worldwide to test their drugs and chemicals. The ANU engaged AMC Projects to undertake design, documentation and construction phase services for the fitout of the new Phenomix laboratory in the existing Innovations Building, ANU. The project involved the fitout of 800m² of tenancy area, into approximately 600m² of Physical Containment Level 2 (PC 2) certified laboratories and 200m² of typical office accommodation. An open-planned laboratory configuration was employed to ensure the maximum amount of natural light was achieved, and this also reflected the preferred work environment of the Phenomix team.
