KBR, Brindabella Business Park

KBR are an international engineering, construction and services company looking to relocate their Canberra Offices to a more permanent accommodation in Canberra. They elected to move to a new building in the Majura Business Park which offered a floor plate of sufficient size to accommodate the whole organisation on one floor. The fitout of 1,500m² accommodates some 100 staff in a predominantly open planned office environment. The floor plate lent itself to a logical arrangement of primary and secondary circulation with open planned areas benefiting from northern solar access and offices and built zones still receiving excellent daylighting. Board rooms, meeting rooms and utility areas were strategically located at either end of the lineal fitout arrangement with the secure reception logically located at the centre. The palette of colours and materials built on KBR’s corporate image with red theming used strategically and effectively.
