AMC SINCE 2000

AMC Projects was established in June 2000 by Alastair MacCallum and David Cook with the specific aim of better servicing Canberra clients. AMC Projects - Design and Management was so named specifically to reference the directors aspirations – namely that the delivery of high quality buildings is reliant on a balance between innovative design and skilful management of the documentation and construction phases, and this has remained the cornerstone of the company.

Alastair MacCallum is highly skilled at formulating a project brief and interpreting this into a compelling design solution. He has a capacity to communicate design solutions to clients, authorities and other stakeholders alike and a proven track record of guiding development through the authority approvals process. David Cook is highly skilled at project delivery, able to rationalise a design solution to be fit for purpose and logical in terms of construction and the delivery methodology. He has a capacity to establish thorough and coordinated construction documentation, understands project programming from inception to completion and is able to play a leadership role in the delivery itself.

Together, Alastair and David make for a strong and experienced leadership team always cognisant of the commercial imperative and are supported by a highly skilled and motivated team of professionals.

Since 2000 AMC has developed to a medium sized architectural practice servicing a select group of Canberra based clients. The practice has been described by some as the quiet achiever, delivering significant scale projects in Canberra and indeed across Australia with its highly skilled team.
